French Rugby Festival involves 2 days of French food, music, guest speakers and grassroots rugby experiences and builds ont the anticipation for the All Blacks vs. France Rugby World Cup Match.

The French Rugby Festival is held at The University of Auckland Rugby Football Club (AURFC): Colin Maiden Park, 85 Merton Road, St John's, Auckland.

23rd of September

The festival begins on Friday 23rd of September. From 6pm there will be a French themed evening with:

- French food.

- French music.

- A guest speaker: GRANT FOX (picture)

All Black from 1984-93

Winner of the Rugby World Cup in 1987
AURFC former player.

In the 1987 RWC tournament, he proved to be one of the All Blacks' main weapons and six matches he finished with 126 points an average per game of 21! Fox remained prominent in rugby in later years. He is now Managing Director of Camegie Sports International (NZ) Ltd which specialises in sports stadium signage and replay screens, hospitality, sports sponsorship and player placement. He will be one of the lead commentators during this years RWC.

24th of September

Saturday 24th of September involves grassroots rugby experiences at its finest:

- 11.00am: Kicking off with the University of Auckland's Interfaculty Rugby Tournament. Eight teams will be competing in the quaterfinal with hopes to reach the finals in a challenging competition.

- 2.30pm: French Citizens vs. NZ Citizens "social" rugby match.

As anticipation builds for the big match, French food, music and a guest speaker will keeps everyone occupied.

PRESENCE OF THE FRENCH CLASSIC TEAM !!!!!!!

- 4.15pm: NZ Barbecue !!!!!

- 6.00pm: Departure to Eden Park (all people who have tickets for the match will be transfered at the Train Station direction EDEN PARK).

- 8.30pm: Viewing of All Blacks vs. France Live.
